The Future of Third-Party Verification in Podcasting

Right Side Up’s Director of Offline Marketing Practice, Grant Durando, participated in a panel earlier this year on what third-party verification in podcasting will look like as the landscape matures at the 2023 Podcast Movement Evolutions conference. 

Podcast advertising is one of the last mediums without true third-party verification. Brands make media buys based on publisher-reported downloaded numbers, and must verify on their own if their ads were read correctly. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. The future of podcasting will likely see huge leaps in the accuracy and reliability of third-party verification. The big question is how do we get there?

In the panel discussion below, leaders from tech, publishing and production, agencies, and in-house podcast marketing explore what we can expect as third-party verification becomes more sophisticated across the podcasting world.
